Insurance Technician or Insurance Analyst
Location: Clearwater, FL (400 South Fort Harrison Ave)
Schedule: Monday through Friday – 8:00am to 5pm with one hour for lunch
Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2026. Candidates should be available to begin employment on or around this date.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Professional to join our team as either an Insurance Technician or Insurance Analyst, depending on your level of experience.
If you are entering industry or bringing foundational experience, the Technician role focuses on essential data entry, vendor compliance and operational workflows. If you possess advanced analytical skills and industry expertise, the Analyst role empowers you to evaluate risk exposures, optimize insurance program delivery, and secure vendor compliance across all County agreements.

Maintains records related to insurance policies, contracts, certificates, audits, and regulatory compliance.
Administers and maintains the Risk Management Information System (RMIS), including data entry, reporting, testing, troubleshooting, and user support.
Coordinates administrative functions including contract routing, Granicus agreement setup, P-Card tracking and audits, and document management.
Manages policy administration including binders, reviewing invoices, endorsements, renewals, and audits;
What Do You Need to Have?
Education: Degree with major course work in risk management, finance, public administration, business administration, or related field.
Insurance Technician (Salary Range: $22.01 - $35.21 per hour):
Four (4) years of experience risk management and/or commercial insurance customer service technical support in an automated data systems environment, or;- An Associate’s degree as described above, and at least two (2) years of experience as described above, or;
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Certified Customer Service Representative, CISR or equivalent designations.
Insurance Analyst (Salary Range: $25.12 - $40.18 per hour):
Six (6) years of experience in property and casualty insurance (P&C) policy analysis, underwriting, policy administration, for multiple types of commercial lines insurance coverage, or;- An Associate’s degree as described above, and at least four (4) years of experience as described above, or;
- An Bachelor’s degree as described above, and at least two (2) years of experience as described above, or;
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Applicants must have achieved or obtain Insurance Industry Designation or License required for each position such as Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR), Association in Insurance (AINS), Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or General Lines Agent License within one (1) year of hire.
