Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fire Alarm Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing fire alarm systems across various commercial and industrial buildings. Your expertise will ensure that fire alarm systems operate reliably, comply with all relevant fire codes and regulations, and meet the highest safety standards. Duties
- Install fire alarm systems including wiring, sensors, control panels, and associated components in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and building codes
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot engineering issues related to fire alarm system failures using electrical blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings
- Perform system testing, calibration, and adjustments following NFPA standards and local fire codes
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to ensure proper system integration and compliance with building code requirements
- Document all service activities thoroughly in reports, logs, and maintenance records
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions, addressing client concerns, and offering solutions for system upgrades or sales opportunities
- On Call Rotation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fire alarm system installation, maintenance, or inspection within construction or service environments
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems including proprietary control panels, sensors, sprinklers, and low-voltage electrical work
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and CAD drawings accurately
- Familiarity with NFPA standards (National Fire Protection Association), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local fire codes and regulations
- Mechanical knowledge related to sprinkler fitting and fire sprinkler systems is a plus
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and other field service tools effectively
- Electrical experience with troubleshooting electrical issues in complex systems is essential
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Construction inspection experience is preferred for understanding building integration processes
- Valid certifications in fire alarm systems or related fields are advantageous

Pay: $56,160.00 - $75,000.00 per year
