Fintap is seeking an Underwriting Operations Specialist to join our team and play an important role in supporting our underwriting and operational processes. This position is responsible for overseeing key aspects of application intake, contract preparation, quality control, and administrative operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of critical processes where accuracy and consistency matter.
Responsibilities:
- Review and monitor automated application intake to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper processing.
- Identify, investigate, and correct application intake or data errors, including information entered into Salesforce.
- Perform ongoing quality control of automated intake workflows and escalate recurring or material issues when appropriate.
- Prepare, review, and distribute funding agreements and other contract documents in accordance with applicable product, program, and state-specific requirements.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of various contract structures, funding products, programs, and jurisdictional requirements to ensure documents are prepared accurately.
- Review contracts carefully for accuracy, consistency, and completeness prior to issuance.
- Manage contract requests from preparation through distribution, ensuring requests are handled accurately and in a timely manner.
- Receive, review, scan, and appropriately route incoming legal and business correspondence, including bankruptcy notices, court documents, and other time-sensitive materials.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming calls to the company’s main line, appropriately addressing or routing inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within Salesforce and other internal systems.
- Work closely with the Chief Risk Officer and other departments to resolve operational, underwriting, contract, and documentation issues.
- Assist with process improvements, quality-control initiatives, and other operational projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive requests.
- Ability to review detailed documents, identify discrepancies, and resolve errors independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, service-oriented approach.
- Comfort working with technology, automated workflows, CRM platforms, and document-management processes; Salesforce experience is preferred.
- Ability to learn and apply product, program, contract, and state-specific requirements consistently.
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential, legal, and business-sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
- Prior experience in underwriting operations, financial services, contracts, legal administration, or a related operational role is preferred.

Compensation: $48,000 base salary + up to $2,000 in performance-based bonuses annually
Pay: $48,000.00 per year
