Duties
- Safely operate your personal vehicle, such as an SUV or cargo van, for scheduled community events
- Load, unload, and secure event materials and supplies with proper manual handling techniques
- Follow planned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load and unload items using manual handling equipment like pallet jacks when necessary
- Assist with moving equipment or supplies between storage areas and event locations, ensuring safe lifting practices
- Maintain accurate delivery logs using mobile devices and document all activities clearly
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with event organizers and community members
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred
- Experience operating box trucks, cargo vans, or similar vehicles; familiarity with manual transmission is a plus
- Warehouse experience or background in warehouse operations is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely during loading and unloading tasks
- Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling in the workplace
- Experience with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks is desirable
- Strong organizational skills for route planning and delivery documentation; proficiency with mobile devices for tracking deliveries
