Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products related to lawn care, gardening, floral design, and landscape maintenance.
- Provide detailed plant identification guidance and horticulture advice to help customers make informed decisions.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for cashiering and cash handling transactions.
- Maintain organized shelves through stocking and merchandising to ensure products are attractively displayed and easy to find.
- Support e-commerce initiatives by helping customers with online orders or inquiries when needed.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and replenishment of seasonal or popular items.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations and excellent customer service experiences.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in a garden center, hardware store, or similar environment.
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, or floral design is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math ensures accurate transactions.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
- Strong communication skills combined with organizational abilities will help you succeed in this fast-paced setting.
- Experience with plant identification or gardening techniques enhances your ability to assist customers confidently.
