Summary
As a 3rd Shift Security Team Member, you will be essential in maintaining a safe and secure environment during overnight hours. Reporting to the Security Supervisor and Night Manager, your core skills in security and conflict management will be vital in addressing any incidents that arise. Your relevant skills in loss prevention will support our commitment to safeguarding our hotel for our guests and staff. Join our team to ensure a secure and peaceful atmosphere for all.

- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, evenings and overnights

- Greet every guest and Associate with eye contact and a sincere, friendly smile; use guest names at every opportunity
- Take pride in presenting a professional image; adhere to grooming and personal appearance policy
- Understand the importance of and adhere to excellent service standards
- Patrol assigned areas ensuring that only hotel guests and visitors are on property
- Investigate and assist with guest incidents (losses, injuries, etc.)
- Provide first-aid as needed or assist with coordination of transportation to hospital
- Keep daily record of all work done
- Comply with policies, procedures and rules of the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown
- Maintain public relations with guests, department heads and their respective staff
- Ensure all entrances, exits, elevators and storage areas are secure
- Ensure all kitchen equipment has been properly turned off and locked as appropriate
- Assist overnight manager with noise complaints, disturbances and emergencies throughout the hotel and parking lot
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check
