Quail Ridge Family Practice is a small business in Kennewick, WA. Our goal is to provide excellent patient care and maintain an independently owned medical clinic.
The person in this position would work collaboratively with our office manager/biller to meet all the billing needs of the office. This position also has some administrative duties. Some medical billing experience or education is required for this position.
This position is full time and expected hours are 37-40 hours per week. After a preliminary period, medical and dental insurance are available. We also provide PTO and holiday pay.
***Duties***
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims. Submit corrected claims and appeals in a timely fashion.
-Review accounts receivable and take action on any denied or unprocessed claims.
- Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing.
- Assign appropriate medical codes using ICD-10 codes.
- Process payments from insurance companies.
- Answer inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing issues.
-Prepare superbills for upcoming appointments.
- Collaborate with office manager to resolve billing discrepancies and issues.
-Perform various office duties such as assisting with answering phones, assisting with reception when needed, etc.
***Skills***
- Proficient in medical office procedures and terminology.
- Strong knowledge of medical coding systems, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
- Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health record systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes.
- Ability to analyze medical documentation and identify relevant codes.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare personnel.
- Knowledge of medical collection practices and procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
