Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and record data on client behaviors during therapy sessions
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure consistency and generalization of skills
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary clearances
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Skills:
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Familiarity with data collection methods and behavior tracking software
- Ability to implement behavior intervention plans with fidelity
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help individuals with special needs
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
