Managed Services – Turn-key Hospitality/Casino Housekeeping, Stewarding, Third Shift Cleaning, Public Area Cleaning, Laundry and Kitchen Cleaning
Managed Services Staffing – Hospitality Staffing for the Resort, Casino & Event space.
Specialty Services – Window and Chandelier Cleaning, Pressure Washing, Pool Cleaning and Maintenance, Exterior Building Cleaning
Position Overview
The Training Manager plays a key role in shaping the new hire experience and driving retention across our operational departments. This hands-on position is responsible for planning, delivering, and reinforcing training that helps team members succeed from day one, through hands-on onboarding, in-the-field coaching, structured check-ins after training, and retraining when needed. The ideal candidate is a proactive planner who prepares training schedules and resources in advance, thrives working directly alongside teams on the floor, and embodies The TSC Way by fostering a positive, engaging, and service-focused culture at every client property.
Essential Duties
- Lead new hire orientation and onboarding for hourly and leadership team members, setting the tone for a strong start and early retention
- Deliver hands-on, in-the-field training for housekeeping, stewarding, public area, kitchen cleaning, and other operational departments, working directly alongside team members rather than classroom-only instruction
- Plan and prepare training schedules, materials, and resources in advance to ensure sessions run smoothly and align with property staffing needs
- Conduct check-ins with new hires during their first few weeks after training to catch issues early and reinforce skills on the floor
- Provide hands-on retraining or coaching for anyone needing extra support, staying with them until they're fully proficient
- Partner with operations and people leaders to spot performance gaps and turnover risk, adjusting training in real time
- Monitor training effectiveness through direct observation, audits, and performance metrics
- Maintain accurate training records and certifications in compliance with company standards
- Ensure compliance with safety programs, OSHA requirements, and client SOPs
- Trains and coaches inspectors and management on leadership, communication, and employee engagement
- Recognize employee achievements and promote a culture of continuous learning
- Serve as the main training point of contact between the client property and The Service Companies' leadership
- Report on training completion, retention outcomes, and compliance to senior leadership
- Promote The TSC Way by fostering a positive, engaging, and service-focused work environment at every client property
Requirements
- 3-5 years of training, L&D, hospitality leadership, or operations management experience, preferably in a hotel, casino, or large resort
- Proven hands-on training experience with large, hourly workforces, with a focus on new hire retention
- Proven leadership ability and a track record of successfully managing training or development programs
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and organizational skills; comfortable planning ahead and managing multiple initiatives
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout operational areas
- Compliance with company/client appearance standards
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
