One of the things that makes GBA unique is our small class sizes, with no more than 10 students per class, allowing teachers to build meaningful relationships with students and provide individualized instruction.
Position Overview
Great Beginnings Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and engaging Math Teacher to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year.
This position will teach a combination of math courses based on enrollment and scheduling. Grade levels are to be determined but may include elementary, middle, and high school mathematics.
Potential courses include:
- Elementary Mathematics
- Middle School Mathematics
- Pre-Algebra
- Algebra I
- Geometry
- Algebra II
- Additional math courses as assigned
We are looking for an educator who can make mathematics engaging, build student confidence, and help students develop strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based math instruction.
- Create lesson plans aligned with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards.
- Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate attendance and grade records.
- Foster a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and school administration.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Integrate technology appropriately to support instruction while emphasizing teacher-led learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (Education, Mathematics, or a related field preferred).
- Florida teaching certification is preferred but not required.
- Previous classroom teaching experience is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Passion for helping students succeed.
- Ability to teach multiple grade levels and adapt instruction accordingly.

Schedule
- Monday–Friday 7:30AM-3:00PM
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
