Senior Program Analyst
Position Overview
The Senior Program Analyst supports the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) program within the federal client's IT environment, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of configuration item (CI) data across the CMDB and Change Control transition workstreams. This role evaluates program performance, analyzes operational data, and produces reporting that enables leadership to assess progress and make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Configuration Management
- Maintain and manage the CMDB to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of configuration item (CI) records.
- Develop, implement, and enforce CMDB governance policies and procedures.
- Perform regular audits and reconciliations of CMDB data to identify and remediate discrepancies.
- Support the integration of discovery tools and data feeds into the CMDB.
Program Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze CMDB data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for process improvement.
- Develop and deliver reports and dashboards for stakeholders and leadership.
- Support enterprise service management (ESM) initiatives by providing CMDB data insights.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to CMDB health and data quality.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with Program Managers, CORs, and cross-functional IT teams to align CMDB processes with organizational goals.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for CMDB-related inquiries and support requests.
- Coordinate with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and program leadership on deliverables and milestones.
- Liaise with vendors and subcontractors (e.g., prime vendor partners) as required.
Enterprise Service Management (ESM) Support
- Support ESM platform administration and configuration in alignment with CMDB requirements.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of service mapping and dependency documentation.
- Contribute to ITIL-aligned change, incident, and asset management processes.
Documentation and Compliance
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and technical documentation related to CMDB operations.
- Ensure all activities comply with federal security, privacy, and data governance requirements.
- Support background investigation requirements at the Tier 2/Moderate (Standard MBI) level.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with CMDB platforms (e.g., ServiceNow or equivalent enterprise ITSM tools).
- Understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Experience with data analysis, data quality management, and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with discovery and dependency mapping tools.
- Knowledge of enterprise service management (ESM) concepts and practices.
Analytical and Program Management Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Experience developing program-level metrics, reports, and executive briefings.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with federal IT program management and contracting processes.

Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation or higher certification.

Compensation: $120,000-$138,000/year
Location: Remote
All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
