Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, boilers and other equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems, plumbing, boiler, HVAC/R components, and structural elements to identify potential issues early
- Assist with construction or renovation projects by providing mechanical support and ensuring safety standards are met
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime and operational disruptions
- Lead or assist with equipment upgrades or installations while adhering to safety protocols and technical specifications
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, boilers, and general equipment maintenance
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints for troubleshooting complex systems
- Service technician experience with a focus on diagnosing issues accurately and executing effective repairs
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigerants
- Construction or building maintenance experience is a plus for supporting facility upgrades or renovations
- Leadership qualities to guide team members during maintenance projects or emergency responses
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and efficiency
