Take the next step in your career by supporting preschool students as a contract paraprofessional in Bucks County! We are searching for experienced school-based paraprofessionals who excel in special education settings to work in preschool classrooms. There are immediate and upcoming openings available at several early learning centers in Bucks County, including Chesterbrook Academy Preschool (Newtown), Upper Bucks Early Learning Center (Telford), The Goddard School (Chalfont), and A Child’s World (Langhorne). Schedules range from 20–37.5 hours per week. Candidates must reside within 35 minutes of the assigned site.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 1 year of paraprofessional experience in a PreK–12 special education program supporting students with behavioral needs
- Experience with hands-on support: toileting, diapering, feeding, mobility assistance, transfers, and supporting students with moderate to severe autism
- Must meet at least one PA paraprofessional qualification (or obtain certification within 60 days of starting): 48 college credits, associate degree or higher, or passing a state/paraprofessional assessment
- Strong attendance record and ability to commit to scheduled hours
- Comfortable with active, physical role throughout the school day
- Reliable transportation required
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting preschool students with daily activities and individualized educational and behavioral plans
- Actively engaging with and assisting students in classroom routines and transitions
- Collaborating with teachers and therapists to foster a positive, inclusive environment
- Maintaining accurate documentation and communication as required
