Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and ensuring comfort throughout their visit
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKG's, spirometry, and medication administration
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately, including documentation of patient encounters, ICD coding, and medical records management
- Conduct intake assessments and facilitate patient flow within outpatient or inpatient settings, including emergency medicine and trauma centers
- Collaborate with the medical team to coordinate patient care plans and follow-up appointments
Qualifications
- Candidate must be highly energetic with great communication skills
- Proven experience in medical office support or medical assisting within outpatient or hospital settings
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems, ICD coding, and medical documentation practices
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medication administration procedures
- Hands-on experience with phlebotomy preferred
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
