The Certified Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting healthcare providers through the execution of both clinical and administrative responsibilities. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care while promoting efficient daily operations and a seamless patient experience. Key responsibilities include:

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments

Prepare and maintain examination rooms, medical equipment, and supplies

Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints accurately

Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed by the provider and within scope of practice

Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and basic laboratory procedures as needed

Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up care

Verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations

Manage patient intake, registration, and medical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Respond to patient inquiries, phone calls, and messages in a professional and timely manner

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and clinic policies and procedures

Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical and front office areas
