Waverly TV has been family owned and operated since 1941. We provide home entertainment sales & installation to customers in the towns and neighborhoods surrounding Madison, NJ. We are perfectionists that provide our customers with white glove service at every step of the process and consider our work completed only when homes are in immaculate condition.
We are growing quickly and seeking a motivated, hard-working install technician to assist in all aspects of the business. On-the-job training will begin immediately. Experience is welcomed and may be factored into compensation but relevant work experience is not required.
Candidate should expect a physical, hands-on role while also possessing good interpersonal skills and professionalism.
Job responsibilities include:
- Installation of music/audio, television/video, and WiFi/networking equipment and wiring
- Running of wires, and mounting of televisions and speakers
- Configuration of connected devices such as Smart TVs, Sonos speaker systems, WiFi routers, and more
- Accepting and handling product inventory and keeping showroom & company vehicles organized and in functional condition
- Communicating with customers to determine needs and assist with technology account setup
- Troubleshooting of systems and conducting in-home repairs of systems, wiring, and equipment
- Opportunity to gain sales and customer support experience
- Other tasks as assigned, hands-on training will be provided at any time
Candidate should posses:
- Strong work ethic and a desire to work a hands-on, at times physically demanding position
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, customer service or retail experience a bonus
- Basic understanding of technology software and hardware equipment, with the ability to quickly grasp new skills with provided training
- Positive attitude with an ability to adapt to quickly changing on-the-job conditions

Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- English language skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to commute daily to Madison, NJ
- High degree of respect and professionalism within customers’ homes
- High school diploma/GED
Schedule:
- Full-time: M-F 8:30am-5:30pm (occasionally earlier or later)
- Ability to work possible Saturdays 8:30am-4pm when needed
