The City of Donald is seeking a collaborative, community-minded leader to serve as its next City Manager.
Located in Oregon’s growing mid-Willamette Valley, Donald offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on local government professional who understands how to lead a small organization, work closely with elected officials and staff, and remain actively engaged in the community.
The next City Manager will work with the Mayor, City Council, department leaders, employees, residents, and local businesses to:
- Implement the City Council’s goals, policies, and budget
- Oversee daily municipal operations and service delivery
- Lead and support employees in a small, team-oriented organization
- Manage competing priorities, timelines, and limited resources
- Build strong relationships throughout the community
- Encourage civic participation, volunteerism, and inclusive community engagement
The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of Oregon budget law, land-use and planning requirements, personnel management, and municipal operations. Oregon local government experience is preferred, and bilingual language skills would be an asset.

Salary: $105,000–$120,000 annually, plus excellent benefits

Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three to five years of local government experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
