We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our Mediterranean restaurant team. As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the CDC & Executive Chef to lead the kitchen, ensure consistency, and deliver an exceptional dining experience. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for Mediterranean flavors.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist the CDC & Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations and menu execution
- Lead and train kitchen staff to ensure consistency and high standards
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation across all stations
- Maintain quality control, portioning, and adherence to recipes
- Help create prep lists, manage inventory, and support ordering
- Uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards
- Step in to cover any station when needed during service
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and ingredients
- Ability to manage, train, and motivate a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Calm under pressure and adaptable during busy service
- Food safety certification preferred
