We're looking for a detail-oriented, client-focused TPA Administration Assistant to support the administration of qualified retirement plans while delivering an exceptional client experience.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys analytical work, thrives in a deadline-driven environment, and wants to build a career in retirement plan administration and compliance. You'll work alongside experienced retirement plan professionals while gaining valuable knowledge of IRS requirements, and 401(k) plan administration.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure client database is updated

Basic client communication and inquiries (general plan operations, eligibility enrollment)

Documents all plan transactions during the year (loans, distributions, rollovers)

Recognize and escalate advanced plan issues (corrections, control group, RMD)

Perform annual review process for small pipeline of first year clients:

Request and review all data, inquire about changes or potential issues from data provided

Prepare plan financials and 5500 with all schedules

Determine eligible employees based on census and plan document eligibility parameters

Prepare and send work product
-
Invite clients to sign 5500 and follow up as needed

Organize client files on server as needed

Other Projects as Needed

Communicate additional billing for services outside of what is included in the annual fee

Assist Plan Admin Level I and II employees as needed
REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent
-
3+ years of experience in the financial services industry

Strong data entry and typing skills

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Ability to work additional hours during peak processing periods

CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
