AMI is seeking a Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist to join the team in the Central New Jersey region of offices! At AMI, Ultrasound Technologists perform a variety of Ultrasound studies, including General and Vascular, working closely with Radiologists to ensure high-quality patient care.

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for but not limited to:
Performs ultrasonographic examinations in accordance with established policy.
Ensures a proper explanation of the procedure has been given and understood by the patient, and, if required, appropriate consent forms have been signed.
Assists patients on and off tables, using appropriate lift assist devices as warranted.
Completes the patient's record of documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Completes aseptic technique training and maintains an aseptic standard of care for associated examinations.
Ensures that ultrasonic imaging equipment is in operational condition, per established Quality Control procedures. Notifies the Chief Technologist when equipment requires servicing or repair.
Provides input into the process of determining the expansion, growth, development and introduction of new ultrasonography services, equipment and imaging techniques.
Performs all other duties as required and assigned.
This Per Diem position will provide coverage primarily in the Monmouth and Ocean County offices, including Neptune, Wall, Brick, Toms River, and Manahawkin.
Availability on Saturdays and weekdays are required.
Per Diem team members are scheduled as needed, based on staffing coverage and department needs. Weekday shifts include 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts. Saturday shifts include 8am-12pm and 8am-3pm. Increased availability for training during the start of employment is required.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Diagnostic Sonography program and are ARDMS registered, RVT a plus, with at least two (2) years of professional work experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including strong scanning experience in Vascular and General studies. A diverse skillset across vascular studies is required. Candidates must be experienced in Venous Insufficiencies, Arterial Duplex (Upper/Lower Exts), PVR/Segmental/ABI (Upper/Lower Exts), Pre-op Vein Mapping (Upper/Lower Exts).
An American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) is required prior to the start of employment. Intermediate computer skills, including experience with RIS systems, are required. Candidates must have a demonstrated knowledge of Ultrasound operations and diagnostic imaging equipment. Technologists must be able to work independently and confidently, with minimal supervision, in a high volume, outpatient setting.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with patients and other team members, is required for success in this role. A demonstrated commitment to a positive patient experience is required.
