Full Time Lead Maintenance Technician

Position Summary
The Full Time Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall operation, appearance, and functionality of the hotel property, including guest rooms, public areas, meeting space, back-of-house areas, and exterior grounds. This position leads daily maintenance operations, responds to guest and staff maintenance requests, and ensures all systems are operating safely and efficiently.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel property.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain guest rooms, corridors, lobby, meeting rooms, kitchen areas, and exterior grounds.
- Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
- Assist with setup and maintenance of meeting space equipment and event setups.
- Monitor boilers, water systems, HVAC units, and other building equipment.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure compliance with hotel standards, safety procedures, and brand requirements.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping coordination, and property upkeep.
- Support department scheduling and help train maintenance team members as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hotel or commercial maintenance experience preferred.
- General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs independently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid driver’s license
Schedule
- Full Time
- Must be available for on-call and emergency situations as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Reports To
- General Manager / Chief Engineer
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
