Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
- Engage with members to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and upsell menu items to enhance sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and food handling standards at all times.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering, basic math calculations, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment, especially during banquet events, while adhering to responsible serving policies.
- Restock bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and other essentials promptly to ensure smooth service flow.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service during catering or banquet events.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant, nightclub, or hospitality setting; fine dining or banquet experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; retail math skills for accurate cash handling and sales processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol serving practices.
- Experience working in diverse environments including brewing establishments or food industry venues; previous catering or banquet experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail in drink preparation and customer interactions.
- Basic math skills for transactions involving cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math concepts.
