We have a great opportunity for a high-performing Staff Accountant based out of our Bremerton office. The Staff Accountant is responsible for accruals, reconciliations, payroll support, and helping issue timely, accurate financial statements across the organization. This role helps ensure the company's books close accurately and on time while upholding the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, and professionalism. The ideal candidate is a seasoned accountant with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time.

What You'll Do:
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Prepare accruals and complete account reconciliations.
- Payroll support and serve as payroll processing backup.
- Support upper management in issuing timely, accurate financial statements.
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to accounting and AP/AR staff across all locations.
- Attend and actively engage in scheduled meetings to ensure alignment on goals, communication, and performance.
- Demonstrate consistent alignment with company core values in all interactions and decision-making processes.
- Additional tasks may be assigned based on departmental needs, ensuring alignment with the role and workload capacity.
What We're Looking For:
- A 2-year degree in accounting, or equivalent work experience that demonstrates strong accounting knowledge.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles.
- Experience processing payroll. ADP knowledge a plus.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Previous experience using ServiceTitan and/or Sage Intacct a plus.
- Previous experience with a contractor or in the home services field a plus.
- Ability to perform a full range of accounting functions with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to invest in continuing education and stay current with the tools and best practices used in accounting.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
