The Department of Finance & Procurement is responsible for ensuring that the county's financial management and accounting systems are maintained appropriately and that county agencies and the public receive information in a timely manner. The Division of Accounting, Finance and Operations manages internal auditing and compliance, financial accounting, financial and budgetary reporting, internal controls, payroll, and accounts payable.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES The Division of Accounting, Finance and Operations is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as a Payroll Accounting Technician. This is a regular, full-time position. The Payroll Accounting Technician will report to the Payroll Supervisor and will be responsible for auditing, reviewing and monitoring time records within Oracle's Time and Labor module. They will send biweekly audit reports to departments, key department corrections into Oracle, review paychecks for correct tax and benefit deductions, process employment verifications and respond to employee and vendor inquires. Additional responsibilities include researching, collaborating cross departmentally on payroll issues, and preparing work papers and analysis to support the annual audit and required tax filings, and contributing to other department areas as needed or assigned.
