Direct Support Professional
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with autism.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Assisting with medication according to prescribed instructions and document accurately.
- Implement individualized care plans and behavior support plans.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times.
- Promote resident rights and advocate for their needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment.
- Assist with transportation to appointments, activities, and community outings.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain confidentiality of resident information.
Qualifications:
- Ability to respond to emergencies appropriately.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
