Pay: $23.00-$25.00/hr. (Depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm

Position Summary-
Our client is a well-established healthcare organization seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced medical office environment and has a strong understanding of insurance billing and claims resolution.
Essential Job Duties-
- Research and gather information necessary to accurately process medical claims and billing
- Submit appeals for denied insurance claims and track outcomes
- Review overpayments and coordinate refund requests when appropriate
- Follow up with insurance carriers to ensure timely processing and payment of claims
- Investigate and resubmit claims that have been denied, are missing, or have not received a response
- Work collaboratively with team members to resolve outstanding account balances
- Maintain accurate billing records, reports, and documentation
- Respond to billing-related phone inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Protect confidential patient and financial information in accordance with privacy regulations
- Assist with additional administrative and office support functions as needed
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Requirements-
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent medical billing experience required
- 5+ years of medical billing experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
