Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, nap times, and transitions to ensure safety at all times.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Follow mandated reporting laws and procedures to report any signs of abuse or neglect.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to supervise children effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to follow safety protocols, including mandated reporting laws and health guidelines.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
