Founding Tampa Bay Market Opportunity — Help launch JYVVE’s first market and build your earning potential with it.
Location: Tampa Bay, Florida — travel to customer homes throughout the market.
Work arrangement: Full-time, field-based / on the road.
The Opportunity
You will help launch JYVVE in Tampa Bay and become the primary person responsible for taking assigned homeowners from:
Consultation → Recommendation → Sale → Installation → Integration → Customer Walkthrough
This is intentionally broader than a normal technician position.
You aren't being hired simply to install a device and move to the next work order.
You will help a homeowner understand what is possible, design the solution with them, earn their business, complete the work within your qualifications and scope, connect the technology, and leave them with a home that works dramatically better.
JYVVE provides the platform.
Our goal is to provide you with:
Customer leads and appointments
JYVVE branding and marketing
A defined service offering
Product recommendations and standards
Proposal and sales support
Customer experience processes
Technology and automation standards
Continued training and support
You own the customer experience.
You bring:
Technical skill
Professionalism
Drive
Sales ability
Problem-solving
Quality workmanship
Customer communication
Accountability for getting the job done
For the right person, this should feel more like building your own market with a company behind you than working another traditional field-service job.
What You'll Actually Do
1. Meet Homeowners
You'll run JYVVE consultations inside customers' homes throughout Tampa Bay.
You'll walk the property, understand how the customer lives, identify problems and opportunities, and determine where technology can make the home more comfortable, convenient, secure and connected.
You'll discuss things like:
Lighting
Climate
Entertainment
Security
Wi-Fi and connectivity
Cleaning
Voice control
Smart bathrooms
Comfort products
Outdoor technology
Home automation
Daily routines
You don't need to push unnecessary products.
You need to listen well and recommend intelligently.
2. Help Design the Solution
Every JYVVE home is different.
You will help determine which products, locations and integrations make sense for the homeowner.
That can include technology such as:
Smart switches and lighting
Google Home and compatible voice control
Google Nest products
Matter-enabled devices
Smart thermostats
Speakers and audio
Smart televisions
Cameras and doorbells
Smart locks
Sensors
Robot vacuums and cleaning systems
Smart bathroom products
Air-quality and comfort products
Connected outdoor products
Wi-Fi and networking improvements
You do not need to know every product on day one.
You do need to be the kind of person who can learn technology quickly and figure things out.
3. Sell the Project
This is where this opportunity differs from most technician roles.
You will also have the ability to earn the customer's business.
JYVVE intends to provide customer opportunities rather than expecting you to spend your day cold calling.
Your responsibility is to:
Build trust
Understand what the customer wants
Explain the recommended solution
Communicate value
Answer questions
Handle objections
Follow up when necessary
Ask for the business
Secure the project
You do not need to be a stereotypical salesperson.
In fact, we'd rather have someone technically credible who communicates exceptionally well.
But you must be comfortable selling.
4. Install and Integrate
Once a project moves forward, you'll personally complete much of the installation, setup and integration that falls within your experience, qualifications and legal scope.
That can include:
Device installation
Smart-home setup
Device mounting and placement
Wi-Fi configuration
Google Home configuration
Matter device pairing
Lighting setup
Speaker setup
Entertainment configuration
Sensors
Smart locks
Connected appliances and accessories
Network troubleshooting
Device troubleshooting
Automation programming
Voice-command setup
Where a project requires separately licensed specialty work outside your permitted scope, JYVVE will structure the project appropriately rather than expecting you to perform work you aren't authorized to perform.
Candidates with stronger electrical, low-voltage, security, HVAC or related credentials will naturally be able to take on more.
This Is What Makes JYVVE Different
Installing a smart switch isn't the end product.
The connected experience is.
Imagine finishing a project where the homeowner can say:
“Goodnight”
And the home:
Turns off the lights
Locks compatible doors
Adjusts the thermostat
Arms compatible security
Turns off entertainment
Adjusts bedroom lighting
Or:
“Movie Night”
And:
Lighting slowly dims
The TV and entertainment system activate
Backlighting turns on
Selected lights adjust
The room changes automatically
You will help build these experiences.
We want someone who enjoys figuring out how the entire home can work together, not just how to install individual products.
Who We Think Will Crush This Role
You might currently be a:
Residential electrician
Electrical service technician
Low-voltage technician
Smart-home installer
Home automation technician
AV technician
Security-system technician
Home technology integrator
HVAC technician with strong smart-home knowledge
Experienced residential service professional
Independent tradesperson
Former or current business owner
But your title matters less than your mindset.
You're probably a fit if:
You're technically strong.
You can troubleshoot instead of immediately calling someone else.
You're good with homeowners.
You can comfortably walk into a high-end residence and establish credibility quickly.
You care what your work looks like.
Placement, cleanup, wiring, configuration and details matter.
You want income upside.
You would rather be rewarded for producing results than have your earning potential capped by an hourly rate.
You're comfortable selling.
You can recommend a solution and ask someone to move forward.
You're entrepreneurial.
You like the idea of helping build a market rather than inheriting somebody else's rigid job description.
You're accountable.
If something doesn't work, you solve it.
Licensing & Experience
Existing Florida trade credentials are highly valuable.
We are especially interested in candidates with experience or qualifications involving:
Residential electrical work
Electrical contracting
Low-voltage systems
Security/alarm systems
Smart-home installation
HVAC controls
Networking
AV systems
Residential technology integration
When applying, clearly identify every current:
License
Registration
Certification
Apprenticeship or journeyman credential
Manufacturer certification
Specialized technical qualification
The more of the JYVVE project you're qualified to perform, the more valuable you can become to the organization.
Compensation
We want to be transparent about this from the beginning.
This is initially a performance-based opportunity.
There is not an initial guaranteed salary or benefits package.
Instead, your income is tied directly to the projects you produce and complete.
A typical JYVVE installed project is currently expected to generate approximately:
$2,000 in total operator compensation
That amount can increase substantially depending on the size and scope of the project.
Our intended structure is for compensation to begin when you produce revenue—not months later.
A portion of compensation is earned when the customer commits to the project and provides their required deposit, with the remaining portion tied to successful completion and the applicable post-installation period.
At 5–7 completed projects per month, the current compensation model equates to approximately $120,000–$168,000 annualized. These figures are examples based on project volume and are not guaranteed earnings.
Full compensation terms will be provided in writing.
Why Would Someone Choose This Over an Hourly Job?
Because the ceiling is different.
A traditional company may pay you roughly the same amount whether you install $2,000 or $50,000 worth of work.
JYVVE is being designed differently.
We want the people responsible for creating revenue and delivering exceptional projects to participate directly in the value they create.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $168,000.00 per year
