Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating closely with clients, project managers, and suppliers. Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable, competitive, and completed within scope. 5 years experience required
Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to interpret project scope and material requirements.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects using Xactimate estimating software.
- Analyze material costs, labor rates, subcontractor bids, and equipment needs to create comprehensive budgets.
- Utilize construction management software Xactanalysis for review, and document management.
- Conduct site visits when necessary to gather on-the-ground insights that influence accurate estimating.
- Review contracts, change orders, and project specifications to maintain alignment with project goals.
Requirements
- 5 years proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in estimating software such as Xactimate
- Familiarity with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Knowledge of contracts, project management principles, and construction site operations.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to achieve favorable terms.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Experience with Xactimate is required.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
