The Director, Marketing - Part D Stars leads the development and execution of member marketing and communications campaigns that drive measurable improvement in Alignment Health Plan's Part D Star Ratings. This role owns the campaign strategy and execution to support the Part D Stars program, designing targeted member awareness, education, and engagement campaigns that influence key performance measures, including medication adherence, MTM/CMR completion, pharmacy benefit utilization, and member experience with the drug plan. Success is measured by OKR achievement and direct accountability for marketing-driven improvement in Part D Star Ratings.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role. The ideal candidate is a seasoned healthcare marketer with deep expertise in end-to-end campaign management, from strategy and design to writing, execution, and performance tracking — and a working familiarity with Medicare Part D benefits and the member experience around prescription drug access, utilization, and adherence.

Job Responsibilities
Strategy Development

Develop and own the member campaigns for Part D measures, including audience rationale, segmentation approach, campaign design, channel strategy, and measurement framework, prioritizing initiatives based on Part D Stars performance goals, measure-level data, and organizational OKRs

Identify and define the member data and insights needed to inform campaign strategy, working with Pharmacy and Stars teams to ensure segmentation, targeting, and personalization are based on meaningful Part D member attributes such as adherence history, medication utilization, and benefit engagement
Campaign Development and Execution

Author all member-facing and campaign-supporting communications across formats and channels, maintaining ownership of the work from first draft through final approval

Develop and manage integrated multi-channel Part D campaigns spanning direct mail, email, SMS, IVR, and digital, coordinating with design, compliance, production, and vendor partners to ensure strategic alignment and on-time delivery across concurrent workstreams
Performance and Insights

Define success metrics before execution begins and analyze marketing campaign performance across channels and audiences to identify what resonated with members and what influenced Part D measure-level outcomes

Work with Pharmacy and Stars teams to understand Part D performance trends and member insights and apply those learnings to refine and strengthen marketing strategy

Present campaign strategy and marketing performance to senior leadership in clear, executive-ready narratives
Cross-Functional Partnership

Build and maintain strong working relationships with Pharmacy, Stars, Clinical, Member Experience, Network, and Market Leadership teams, serving as the member marketing and communications partner to leadership

Partner with Stars and behavioral insights subject matter experts to incorporate member research and behavioral findings into campaign design and messaging approach

Engage proactively with Pharmacy and Stars leaders to stay aligned on Part D performance goals and evolving priorities

Experience:
Required:

7+ years of marketing or communications experience in a healthcare environment, including Medicare Advantage, managed care, or pharmacy benefit environment

Demonstrated experience independently developing and executing marketing campaigns that drive measurable outcomes in a Medicare Advantage or pharmacy benefit environment

Working knowledge of Part D Stars measures and the specific member marketing and communications levers that drive performance improvement across each measure

Strong writer with the ability to produce clear, compelling, plain language communications across multiple formats and audiences

Working knowledge of CMS Medicare marketing guidelines and regulations, with the ability to apply them independently across all member-facing materials

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public health, psychology, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Pay Range: $130,332.00 - $195,498.00
Pay range may be based on a number of factors including market location, education, responsibilities, experience, etc.
