Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS and Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, demonstrating knowledge of drink service and beverage pairings
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation or plating when needed, supporting kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Build positive guest relations through friendly interactions, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations and customer service excellence
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and increase revenue
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in fine dining settings or high-volume restaurants preferred but not required
