Overview
Pallet Sales & Recycling is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of materials and information throughout the supply chain. This position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a solid understanding of logistics processes. The Logistics Coordinator will ensure that all operations run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Duties
- Coordinate and monitor operations, including shipments, inventory, and delivery schedules
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries
- Plan and track shipments using logistics software and systems
- Prepare and process shipping documents, such as bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork
- Monitor stock levels and collaborate with warehouse staff to manage inventory accuracy
- Resolve any issues related to transportation delays, damaged goods, or inventory discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international shipping regulations
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date records for audits and reports
- Identify areas for improvement and propose cost-effective logistics solutions
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics coordination or a related field.
- Strong data collection skills with the ability to analyze and interpret logistics data effectively.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and materials handling procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for understanding equipment used in logistics operations.
- Excellent vendor management skills with a focus on building strong partnerships.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
