Turtle & Crane Assisted Living is seeking a dependable, skilled, and self-motivated Maintenance Technician to help maintain our residential assisted living community. This position plays an essential role in ensuring our residents enjoy a safe, clean, and comfortable home while supporting the day-to-day operations of our facility.

Responsibilities
As our Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the building, equipment, and grounds, including:
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance throughout the facility.
- Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Repair drywall, doors, locks, flooring, cabinetry, furniture, and other building components.
- Perform basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and fixtures.
- Perform basic electrical repairs, including replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, and bulbs.
- Troubleshoot HVAC systems and coordinate repairs with licensed contractors when necessary.
- Maintain exterior grounds, including lawn care, snow removal, ice control, and general landscaping.
- Inspect the facility regularly for safety hazards and maintenance needs.
- Paint, patch walls, and complete minor remodeling projects.
- Maintain facility equipment and tools.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety, OSHA, infection prevention, and assisted living regulations.
- Assist with emergency maintenance issues after hours when needed.
- Work closely with administration to prioritize maintenance projects and facility improvements.
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience in general building maintenance, facilities maintenance, apartment maintenance, or a related field
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and general construction
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred:
- Experience working in healthcare, assisted living, or long-term care facilities
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs

Schedule
- Monday–Friday preferred with flexibility as needed
- Occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call availability for urgent maintenance issues
- Full-time or part-time opportunities available
