ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Successful completion of Trade Compliance Training.
- Maintain a good understanding of complex import and FTZ processes.
- Review and authorize shipments on export holds using the Mouser ERP system and the third-party Global Trade Management (GTM) system.
- Investigate red flags and determine risk to Mouser. Maintain records of investigation.
- Deny customer orders when the risk to Mouser is unacceptable.
- Prepare and monitor the status of any protest and post entry adjustments filed with Customs.
- Monitor any other Customs transactions not mentioned above but are part of Mouser Electronics import activities.
- Classify products with U.S.HTS and ECCN codes.
- Maintain a good understanding of complex investigation processes and screening controls.
- Performs deep dives of customer data, using knowledge of systems and processes to identify gaps in the Export Compliance program.
- Assist the India Trade Compliance Team in collecting export information from suppliers.
- Assist the Export Manager in investigations, reporting, and audits of export compliance matters.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with business associates. Able to communicate with people at all levels. Interact effectively with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization.
- Work independently and remain flexible with the ability to prioritize workloads.
- Demonstrate effective time management and planning/organizing skills.
- Take the initiative to expand knowledge for the position, utilizing all available resources.

- Knowledge/experience of the U.S. Customs Regulations and import formalities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Global Trade Compliance Specialist I
- Have a good understanding of the Mouser Trade Compliance processes.
- Ability to process, investigate, and troubleshoot EEI filings in AES.
- Cross trained on at least one or more sub functions apart from the primary process.
- Support new joiners or existing team members to improve their performance.
Requirements
- 1+ years of Trade Compliance with mastery of Global Trade Compliance Administrator experience required. For internal candidates, experience can be a combination of internal and external experience.
