Provide day-to-day technical support for users and plant operations, supports desktops, laptops, printers, handheld devices, conferencing systems, user access, and other plant and office technologies across multiple locations. This position is based in Portland, TN and includes regular travel to support other facilities.
- Provide help desk and end-user support
- Troubleshoot PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, handheld scanner devices, and related equipment
- Support user access and basic application issues
- Manage and follow up on support tickets
- Assist with conference room, phone, and collaboration technology
- Run cables, terminate basic connectors, and support onsite device connectivity needs
- Coordinate with vendors and support onsite technology needs at plant locations
No supervisory responsibilities.
- 3+ years of desktop support, endpoint support, or IT support experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills with PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals, and user devices
- Experience supporting users in a business or manufacturing environment
- Experience with help desk ticketing systems
- Comfortable working hands-on with both plant-floor and office technology
- Strong customer service, communication, and follow-up skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly, including monthly travel to Louisville, KY and quarterly travel to Forest, MS
- Valid driver's license
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to run cables and perform basic connector termination / physical device hookup
- Endpoint software patching and device lifecycle support
- Experience supporting ERP users, especially AX or similar systems
- Experience working with vendors and service contracts
- Experience with Zebra printers, handheld scanners, thin clients, conference room technology, and plant-floor devices
- Exposure to access control, document management, or manufacturing support applications
