Job Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in supporting Warehouse operations by ensuring accurate and timely management of inventory data and work order processes. This position is responsible for the completion and reconciliation of work orders, performing cycle counts, conducting accurate data entry into the ERP system (Sage), and creating or updating work orders as needed.
Additional responsibilities include tracking product yields, generating inventory reports for internal teams, customers, and the corporate office, and identifying opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and traceability on the production floor. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in inventory control processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Learn, and adhere to, all Safety policies & procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) established for NLX
Verify raw material, packaging, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory availability prior to production scheduling to ensure production plans can be executed without interruption.
Coordinate and manage inventory transactions involving third-party warehouses, co-packers, external storage facilities, and logistics providers to ensure accurate inventory records and timely reconciliation of discrepancies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party inventory management activities, including inventory reporting, stock transfers, adjustments, and investigations of inventory variances.
Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks in a safe and efficient manner to support inventory movements, storage, cycle counts, and warehouse operations.
