Life Village is seeking a passionate educator and program builder to help launch and lead our new nature-based homeschool co-op opening this fall. We are looking for someone who sees this as more than a job someone excited to help shape a one-of-a-kind learning community, grow alongside it for years to come, and play a meaningful role in building the future of Life Village.
Located on a beautiful 6-acre property with mature trees, gardens, outdoor learning spaces, and animals, Life Village Homeschool Program is an extension of Life International Academy and combines nature-based learning, life skills, leadership, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and project-based education.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multi-age homeschool classroom (Grades 3–8)
- Design and implement engaging, project-based learning experiences integrating science, literacy, math, life skills in Nature-infused curriculum.
- Teach through outdoor exploration, nature walks, gardening, ecology, conservation, environmental science, sustainability, and hands-on projects
- Develop seasonal themes, enrichment activities, and community projects that promote curiosity, exploration, and environmental stewardship
- Foster leadership, independence, creativity, and a deep respect for the natural world
- Collaborate with families to support student growth and individualized learning goals
- Utilize Google Workspace and technology tools to communicate with families, document learning, and track student progress
- Help coordinate special events, field trips, and outdoor learning experiences

We are looking for someone who genuinely loves nature and believes the outdoors is one of the most powerful classrooms a child can experience.
The ideal candidate is passionate about environmental stewardship and helping children develop a meaningful connection with the earth. They are excited to teach through gardening, composting, conservation, environmental science, regenerative agriculture, permaculture, nature journaling, outdoor exploration, mud play, and hands-on projects that inspire curiosity, responsibility, and wonder.
This person sees nature as a classroom, values sustainability, and enjoys helping students become thoughtful caretakers of the earth and active contributors to their communities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in forest schools, nature schools, homeschool programs, outdoor education, Montessori, Waldorf, or similar learning environments
- Experience with gardening, permaculture, sustainability, farming, ecology, conservation, environmental science, or nature-based education
- Strong understanding of childhood development and experiential learning
- Experience developing interdisciplinary curriculum across science, literacy and life skills
- Experience working with multi-age groups of students
- Strong leadership, organization, classroom management, and positive behavior guidance skills
- Comfortable using Google Workspace and technology tools to organize and plan.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
Compensation & Benefits
- $30,000–$45,000 annually depending on schedule, experience, and program responsibilities
