CDL Delivery Driver (Local Routes – No Weekends)

Pay: $22–$23+ per hour | Weekly Pay

We’re looking for a CDL Class B Delivery Driver for our Akron location who values consistency, professionalism, and being home every day. This is a local delivery role serving Northeast Ohio—no overnights, no weekends, and no guessing your schedule.

What You’ll Do
- Operate a company-owned straight truck (CDL Class B) on local Northeast Ohio routes
- Safely deliver plumbing, HVAC, and electrical products to job sites, warehouses, and branch locations
- Load, secure, verify, and inspect outbound freight before departure
- Unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or by hand as required
- Complete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues promptly
- Maintain accurate driver logs and comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, branch staff, and customers
- Assist with warehouse work (receiving, picking, staging, inventory) between routes
- Keep your truck, cab, and equipment clean, organized, and professional
Schedule & Location
- Monday–Friday only
- 4:00 AM – approximately 1:00 PM
- No weekends. No overnight routes. Home every day.
- Based out of 1200 Kelly Avenue, Akron, OH 44306
What We’re Looking For
- Valid CDL Class B license (or higher) with a clean driving record and no manual restriction.
- Current DOT medical card (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- 3+ year commercial driving experience preferred
- Local delivery or building-products experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally
- Forklift experience preferred (certification provided if needed)
- Strong customer service mindset—professional, dependable, respectful
- Comfortable using smartphones, delivery apps, and routing software
- Ability to read paperwork, count product accurately, and solve issues in the field

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Regular standing, walking, reaching, and use of hands
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, or balancing
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 80 lbs
