Bloom Dental is looking for an experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our team. We are a privately owned and growing dental group that offers the close-knit feel of a smaller company with benefits and opportunities you would typically expect from a larger organization.
We are looking for someone who is confident in their clinical skills, takes pride in their work, and knows how to help patients feel comfortable. The right person will be able to stay one step ahead, work well with the doctor, and jump in wherever needed to help the team have a successful day.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting the doctor during a variety of dental procedures
- Performing expanded functions within your training and certifications
- Placing and finishing restorations
- Taking digital X-rays
- Taking impressions or digital scans
- Preparing treatment rooms and setting up procedures
- Reviewing treatment and postoperative instructions with patients
- Sterilizing instruments and maintaining proper infection-control standards
- Keeping clinical notes and patient information updated
- Monitoring supplies and helping keep rooms stocked
- Supporting an efficient patient flow throughout the day
- Helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for
- Working closely with the doctor, hygiene team, and front office
- Jumping in to help the team wherever needed
You May Be a Great Fit If You
- Have previous dental assisting experience
- Have completed Expanded Functions Dental Assistant training
- Hold a current Indiana dental radiology certification
- Are confident performing expanded functions
- Are comfortable with digital X-rays, impressions, and dental technology
- Can anticipate what the doctor and patient need
- Communicate clearly and work well as part of a team
- Are dependable, organized, and able to keep up in a busy office
- Take pride in providing excellent patient care
- Bring a positive attitude and are willing to help wherever needed
Additional certifications in coronal polishing, fluoride application, or nitrous oxide monitoring are a plus.
