Duties
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care by preparing examination rooms and ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Perform vital signs assessments, including measuring blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiratory rate.
- Support patients in understanding their treatment plans and provide education on medication administration, including inhalation techniques for respiratory therapies.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems to maintain up-to-date medical histories.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant
- Familiarity with electronic health records (eClinicalWorks) required
- Proficiency in English and Spanish required
- Basic life support certification is required; additional certifications such as EKG and Phlebotomy
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in medical practice.
