TRAHC ATTENDANT

SUMMARY: TRAHC, Inc., an equal opportunity employer, is seeking a limited part-time TRAHC Attendant to join our team. This position averages less than 12 hours per week and primarily serves as front desk reception and gallery oversight on Saturdays, while also providing support to the Event Coordinator during events.
TRAHC Attendants are the welcoming face of our organization. We’re looking for individuals who are friendly, dependable, organized, and committed to providing outstanding customer service. This role plays an important part in supporting TRAHC’s mission to “grow people & community through the arts.”
Duties include monitoring galleries, event setup and cleanup, opening/closing facilities, assisting visitors, processing sales in the Gift Shop, collecting guest data, and performing a variety of other support tasks as needed. Shifts may be assigned at either the Regional Arts Center or TRAHC’s ArtSpace at 518 Pine.
Essential Functions/Program Areas:
- Warmly greet guests, Board members, and students at both the Regional Arts Center and our 518 Pine location.
- Manage opening and closing procedures for our facilities during public hours and events, ensuring security and safety.
- Perform front desk reception duties, including answering phone inquiries.
- Collect and report audience data for grant applications.
- Oversee the condition of art in gallery spaces at both locations and maintain knowledge of current exhibits and artists as well as class schedules at our 518 Pine location.
- Process transactions and assist customers in the Gift Shop at the Regional Arts Center
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Capability to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
- Background check clearance is required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Candidates should be pursuing at least a High School Diploma.
- Proficiency in Google Suite; familiarity with Mac OS is preferred.
- Prior experience in data entry, customer service, and working with the public, including minors, is advantageous. Experience within non-profit, museum, or educational settings is a plus.
LANGUAGE AND MATH SKILLS:
- Strong written, verbal, and literary communication abilities.
- Competency in basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
OTHER
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, collaborative, time management, and organizational skills.
- Light to moderate lifting capabilities and the ability to execute emergency protocols are required.
- Must be reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
COMPENSATION/SCHEDULE:
- Hourly pay: $8.00
- Part-time position requiring availability for most Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and additional hours as needed by the gallery. Total weekly hours will vary based on availability and special events but will not usually exceed 15.
Schedule:
- 6 hour shifts
- Weekend availability
- Evenings as needed
