Job Title: Project Technician
Job Summary:
The Project Technician is responsible for helping maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the hotel. This position focuses on carpet cleaning, tile and floor care, deep cleaning, painting, touch-ups, and general hotel improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain carpets throughout guest rooms, hallways, meeting rooms, and common areas.
- Perform carpet extraction, spot cleaning, and stain removal as needed.
- Clean, scrub, and maintain tile floors and grout.
- Assist with floor care, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing.
- Perform deep cleaning of public areas, guest rooms, back-of-house areas, and other hotel spaces.
- Assist with painting, wall touch-ups, minor repairs, and other hotel improvement projects.
- Clean and maintain furniture, fixtures, doors, walls, and other hotel surfaces.
- Move furniture and equipment when needed for cleaning and projects.
- Keep cleaning equipment, supplies, and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow proper procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report damaged carpets, tiles, furniture, fixtures, or other maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Assist the housekeeping and maintenance teams with special cleaning and hotel projects.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests and employees.
- Perform other cleaning and project duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous hotel, housekeeping, janitorial, or cleaning experience preferred.
- Experience with carpet and floor cleaning is a plus.
- Ability to use basic cleaning equipment safely.
- Able to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
- Dependable, hardworking, and able to work independently.
- Good attention to detail and a positive attitude.
