Neurology Technician, RVT
We are seeking a Neurology Technician to join our team as we prepare to open a state-of-the-art, independent emergency and specialty hospital in south Denver in 2026. We will offer 24/7 emergency care and a full range of specialty services.

Job Summary
The Registered Veterinary Technician (Neurology) plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of exceptional neurologic care by partnering closely with board-certified neurologists, specialty clinicians, emergency veterinarians, and the multidisciplinary care team. This individual is responsible for providing advanced nursing care to patients with neurologic disorders while assisting with diagnostic procedures, advanced imaging, neurosurgical procedures, anesthesia support, treatments, client education, and long-term case management. The RVT serves as a patient advocate, ensuring compassionate, high-quality care while helping clients navigate complex neurologic diseases and recovery.
The ideal candidate is a credentialed veterinary technician with a strong interest in neurology, exceptional technical and communication skills, and a passion for caring for patients with complex neurologic conditions. Key Responsibilities
Neurologic Patient Care
· Provide advanced nursing care for patients with neurologic diseases, spinal injuries, seizure disorders, and neuromuscular conditions
· Perform and document neurologic observations while recognizing changes in patient status requiring immediate intervention
· Assist with pain management, mobility support, bladder care, and rehabilitation exercises for hospitalized patients
Diagnostics & Procedures
· Assist with advanced diagnostic procedures including MRI, CT, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) collection, electrodiagnostic testing, and neurologic examinations
· Prepare and monitor patients undergoing sedation or general anesthesia for advanced diagnostic imaging and neurosurgical procedures
· Demonstrate a strong understanding of anesthesia principles and patient monitoring, with the ability to confidently assist in the induction, maintenance, and recovery of anesthetized patients
· Assist with perioperative care for neurosurgical patients, including preoperative preparation and postoperative recovery
Case Management
· Coordinate care for hospitalized and outpatient neurology patients while ensuring continuity of treatment
· Maintain accurate medical records, treatment plans, and client communications
· Educate clients on home care, medication administration, postoperative care, and long-term management of neurologic conditions
Collaboration
· Work closely with neurologists, surgeons, emergency clinicians, criticalists, rehabilitation services, and specialty teams to provide comprehensive patient care
· Support communication between departments to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes
Qualifications
· Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, or LVT) required
· Minimum 2+ years of experience in veterinary emergency and/or specialty medicine preferred
· Previous experience in neurology, surgery, ICU, or emergency medicine strongly preferred
· Comfortable monitoring anesthesia and supporting advanced diagnostic and surgical procedures
· Strong technical skills including catheter placement, venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, advanced patient monitoring, and perioperative nursing
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity specialty environment
· Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
