Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to produce precision sheet metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes, blueprint reading, and quality inspection to ensure products meet strict specifications and standards. The Press Brake Operator plays a vital role in delivering high-quality parts efficiently and safely within our production environment.
Duties
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine proper tooling and machine settings
- Adjust machine parameters for precise bending operations, ensuring adherence to tolerances using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of press brake equipment to maintain optimal performance
- Inspect finished parts for quality compliance using measurement tools and visual inspection techniques
- Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols at all times
- Operate auxiliary equipment such as CNC laser cutting machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, plasma cutters, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, cranes, forklifts, and hand tools as needed for material handling and fabrication tasks
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) preferred
- Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings with proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, fabrication processes, machining techniques, and sheet metal forming
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, micrometer gauges, and other quality inspection tools
- Familiarity with welding techniques and assembly processes is a plus
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently within a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to machinery operation including cranes and forklifts is desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance throughout the production process

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
