Position Summary
Renew Safety Solutions is seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager (QCM) to lead the Quality Control program for a construction project at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC), Twentynine Palms, California. The project consists of the installation of 14 EV charging stations, together with the associated civil, electrical, and site restoration work.
The QCM is responsible for implementing the Quality Control Plan, conducting inspections, managing submittals and testing, maintaining project documentation, and carrying the project through final closeout.
Project Scope
- Installation of 14 EV charging stations
- Trenching and underground utility installation
- Switchgear and transformer installation
- Concrete footings and equipment pads
- Paving and pavement restoration
- Bollard and signage installation
- Pavement striping
- Final project closeout
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce the project Quality Control Plan (QCP)
- Conduct inspections across all definable features of work
- Manage and process submittals
- Coordinate and verify required testing; maintain complete testing records
- Maintain accurate quality control documentation and daily reports
- Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, and the client representative
- Manage punch list, turnover documentation, and final project closeout
Required Qualifications
- USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification
- Ability to obtain MCAGCC Twentynine Palms base access
- QCM experience on federal or commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of Quality Control Plans (QCP), inspections, submittals, testing, documentation, and project closeout
- Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- USACE or other federal construction experience
- DoD or military installation experience
- Electrical infrastructure and utility construction experience
- EV charging infrastructure experience
- Civil construction, concrete, paving, and site development experience
Compensation
- $49.00 – $57.00 per hour (DOE)
- Per Diem: $180.00 per day (while eligible and assigned to the project)
