Automotive Service Technician – ASE Certified
Northwest Auto & Tire Inc. is Hiring!
We are seeking an experienced B+/A, motivated ASE Certified Automotive Technician to join our busy 9-bay repair facility.
Qualifications:
- ASE Certification required
- Minimum of 8 years of professional automotive repair experience
- A-Level Technician preferred
- Must own and maintain a complete set of professional tools
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair domestic and import vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance and major repairs
- Accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members
- Follow all safety procedures and industry standards
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems, transmissions.
- Utilize schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems effectively.
- Conduct wheel alignments and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to ensure vehicle safety features function correctly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs efficiently.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
- Document all repairs and services performed accurately for auto estimating and customer records.

Requirements
- ASE Certifications, A/C Macs certified, any other certifications would be a plus.
- Proven dealership experience or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Solid understanding of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, alignments, and powertrain repairs.
- Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
