Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday 8-5 (36 hours per week)
Duties:
- Assist dentists during dental procedures, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare materials for impressions (digital) and restorations
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed
Preferred requirements:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures, including sterilization techniques, instrument handling, and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
- Proficiency in taking digital x-rays and operating dental imaging equipment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
