Job Summary: The Clinical Assistant provides high-quality support to patients and clinical staff in a fast-paced imaging environment. Under the supervision of registered technologists, nurses, and physicians, the Clinical Assistant performs a variety of patient care, clerical, and technical support duties to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient experiences.
Days: Monday - Friday Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Major Job Functions:
- Greet and prepare patients for CT/US imaging procedures in a professional, compassionate manner.
- Verify patient identification, procedure orders, and consent forms prior to imaging.
- Assist CT/US technologists with patient positioning, mobility, and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Provide patient education on procedure preparation and post-procedure care instructions as directed by clinical staff.
- Transport patients safely to and from imaging rooms or other areas.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of exam rooms, equipment, and supply areas.
- Monitor and restock clinical and phlebotomy supplies as needed.
- Support infection prevention by following standard precautions and departmental policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, technologists, nurses, and physicians to support coordinated care.
- Participate in quality assurance, safety checks, and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Perform clerical duties such as scheduling, order entry, and documentation to support workflow efficiency.
Specifications:
- Education: High School diploma or GED
- Experience: Clerical and clinical experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Certification/License/Registration: BLS/CPR certification required
