We are seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator with an IT Manager mindset to own and support day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure, and user support. This role is primarily technical and execution-focused, responsible for maintaining system stability, resolving issues quickly, and keeping core infrastructure running reliably (“keeping the lights on”).
While the title reflects IT Manager responsibilities, success in this role comes from strong systems administration depth, troubleshooting ability, and ownership of the environment end-to-end .
This is a key role that acts as the primary technical owner and escalation point for all IT systems across the organization.
- Own and maintain core IT infrastructure including servers, virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V), Active Directory, and core Windows environments
- Ensure system uptime, stability, and performance across all critical IT systems
- Manage and monitor backups, disaster recovery readiness, and system recoverability (Veeam)
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues across servers, endpoints, and network systems
- Support and maintain network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and connectivity issues
- Act as escalation point for complex technical issues and coordinate with external vendors when needed
- Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, licensing, and cloud-based services
- Provide hands-on endpoint support including imaging, provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management
- Support end users across the organization with Tier 1–2 technical issues (~20+ tickets/day)
- Maintain IT security fundamentals including patching, endpoint protection, access control, and email security tools
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes including account creation, device setup, and access provisioning
- Assist with basic onsite AV support and coordination of external AV or infrastructure vendors
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to stability, efficiency, and IT processes
