Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with menu selections, upselling additional items to enhance their experience
- Prepare food items according to company standards, including pizza assembly and other menu offerings
- Operate POS systems such as Toast POS for processing orders, sales transactions, and cash handling accurately
- Manage customer orders efficiently using food service customer order management systems to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to sanitation, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including ovens, slicers, and other food prep tools
- Handle cash register operations, process retail sales transactions, and process cash transactions with accuracy
- Support food safety management practices by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a tidy dining area to promote a welcoming environment for guests
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation is beneficial
- Experience using Toast POS systems
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Customer service experience demonstrating the ability to engage positively with guests and handle inquiries professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry or restaurant setting is a plus
- Retail or grocery store experience can be helpful in managing sales transactions and maintaining cleanliness standards
